Summer in the City

This is it.

I leave for the Big Apple in less than a week. I will be there for two months interning for the American Museum of Natural History. I will live in a townhouse style dorm on the edge of Central Park with my fellow interns. At work I will research one of the most famouse meteorites in the world. The Allende Meteorite is so famous do to its rare composition and it's large mass at time of impact. Most meteorites disintegrate in our atmosphere and only 5% of those which fall to Earth are in the same category of meteorites as the Allende. It contains particles that are even older than our own solar system. Wow, how mind boggling!

Ok. Enough nerdishness for now. I've been getting together the neccessary items for my trip:
Lots of new clothes
A netipot
Good walking shoes
A brand new camera
And after that I can't come up with too much else

I plan to take lots of nice photos and put them up here for my passer byers to see. I will also talk about my research (which most of you will promptly scroll over) and hopefully some of the fun times and maybe even some not so fun times of my trip.
